Angelfire MSC

I raced in round 1 of the Mountain States Cup this past weekend in Angelfire New Mexico. The mountain cross was big and the downhill was gnarly and fast. I qualified in 2nd in the mountain cross on Saturday mourning. In the mountain cross race I advanced three rounds to the finals, winning every round. In the finals, I ended up getting second and it was one of the most exciting races I have ever been in.

Bottom jump. So much speed, so much air.

On the box.

In DH I was having clean runs all through out practice and my biggest concern was my arms pumping up. In the race I was pinning it and having a good run until I fell about half way down. I got on my bike as quick as I could and worked to get back to speed. I had a fast run after I fell and I ended up 4th. I was pretty happy with that considering I fell and there was a field of 36. My next down hill race will be in Vermont followed by Crested Butte and I am looking forward to both events. Hopefully I will see you there! Here are a few pictures from the down hill race.

The view is so amazing.
